AquaReclaim is a water treatment system design to clean agricultural drainage water, lowering the Ec, so it can be recycled and reused. It follows a three step process: a) divalent ion removal, b) anion removal, and c) final polishing. The system is unique in its use of a recoverable regenerant chemistry based on ammonium bicarbonate.
| Equipment | Function | EC (Expected) | Ec Reduction |
|---|---|---|---|
| Raw Feed | Drainage water Supply | 2500–3500 | N/A |
| Nanofiltration | Remove divalent load | 1200–1800 | 40-50% |
| Gypsum/Clarifier | Precipitate Ca/SO4 | 900–1200 | 50% of NF concentrate |
| Ion Exchange | Remove remaining ions via exchange with bicarbonate | 1200-1800 | Possible very small change |
| PhytoVap | Evaporation | 900-1200 | N/A |
| Air Stripper | Remove Bicarbonate | < 600 | 50-70% |
Includes nanofiltration, clarifications, solids removal, and PhytoVap for evaporation
