🧭 1. Stage Purpose

• Use of Katalox Light in the filter oxidizes Fe and Mn
• Remove suspended solids (TSS) and debris
• Protect downstream systems (NF, IX, pumps)
• Stabilize feed water quality

📊 2. Normal Operating Envelope

• Flow Rate:  10 to 50 GPM (higher values possible)
• Inlet Pressure:  < 2-5 psi
• Outlet Pressure:  < 5 psi
• ΔP across media/filter:  2 psi (clean) → 5 psi (backwash trigger)
• Visual: Water clear, no visible solids carryover

🟢 3. What “Normal” Looks Like

• Stable flow with no sudden drops
• ΔP increases slowly over time
• No visible turbidity in downstream tanks
