AquaReclaim is a water treatment system design to clean agricultural drainage water, lowering the Ec, so it can be recycled and reused. It follows a three step process: a) divalent ion removal, b) anion removal, and c) final polishing. The system is unique in its use of a recoverable regenerant chemistry based on ammonium bicarbonate.

Equipment Function EC (Expected) Ec Reduction
Raw Feed Drainage water Supply 2500–3500 N/A
Nanofiltration Remove divalent load 1200–1800 40-50%
Gypsum/Clarifier Precipitate Ca/SO4 900–1200 50% of NF concentrate
Ion Exchange Remove remaining ions via exchange with bicarbonate 1200-1800 Possible very small change
PhytoVap Evaporation 900-1200 N/A
Air Stripper Remove Bicarbonate < 600 50-70%
